Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor for a fixed term contract at the Fawley Refinery, Southampton. You will support day‑to‑day SHE activities, conduct site inspections and incident investigations, and promote a strong safety culture.

The role requires NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and experience in regulated environments. You will work with project teams on safety planning, CSPS, and client compliance during shutdown periods.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 NVQ required.
• IOSH membership (TechIOSH) preferred.
• Experience in SHE/H&S within engineering, construction, utilities, water or energy sectors.
• Working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support safety training, site inspections, and incident investigations.
• Maintain and document safety records and procedures.
• Provide competent SHE advice aligned with legislation and client requirements.
• Lead or support audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
