Job summary

Rehlko is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for day-to-day operations across construction and installation sites in Sunderland. You will lead Rehlko and subcontractor teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget, focusing on installation of diesel generator systems into hyperscale projects.

You will act as the key on-site Health & Safety authority, enforce RAMS and safe systems of work, and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Manager in construction or industrial M&E.
• SMSTS certification and knowledge of ISO/HSE standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manage subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, on programme, and within budget.
• Lead and manage both Rehlko (WBPS) personnel and subcontractor teams on site.
• Act as the primary Health & Safety authority, enforcing safe systems of work and company procedures at all times.
• Prepare and approve RAMS, and review and sign off subcontractor RAMS.
• Manage Permit to Work and Isolation procedures across all site activities.
• Identify, mitigate, and report risks, escalating significant issues or delays to the Project Manager or Technical Director.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with the Projects team to plan works and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
• Attend Head Office meetings in Derbyshire for project handovers and team briefings.
• Represent the business professionally, promoting safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Carry out pre-start inspections and post-completion checks to ensure all works meet quality standards.
