Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a No. 1 Site Manager to take full ownership of live schemes in Berkshire and the Thames Valley.

You will manage groundworks through handover, reporting to a Contracts Manager, with responsibility for programmes, RAMS, inductions, and daily sub-contractor coordination. The role requires a proven track record leading complete schemes (£2M–£8M) with strong education, D&B, civic or heritage experience, and relevant tickets.

Qualifications

• Experience as No. 1 Site Manager on schemes valued £2M–£8M as lead on site.
• Background across education, D&B, civic builds or heritage/restoration.
• Tickets: SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid at Work.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented leader who motivates local sub-contractors without burning bridges.

Responsibilities

• Drive programmes, RAMS, inductions and daily sub-contractor coordination.
• Maintain quality and finishes on high-spec joinery and architectural packages.
• Liaise with school heads, clients, authorities and clerk of works.
• Lead H&S, environmental compliance, and site logistics.
