Job summary

Barratt Developments UK is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead construction activities across multiple sites, delivering high-quality homes safely, on time and to NHBC standards. You will coordinate labour, manage materials and costs, oversee quality inspections and ensure regulatory compliance, while collaborating with Sales and internal teams to keep programmes on track and customers informed.

Ideal candidates will have CIOB membership or NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management, proven

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering to an established build programme.
• Ability to meet weekly targets through organised labour.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proven leadership to drive quality on site.
• Knowledge of NHBC Standards, Building Regulations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-site health and safety compliance at all times.
• Coordinate labour and resources to meet the build programme.
• Manage stock and ensure timely deliveries of materials.
• Ensure plots meet NHBC standards and Building Regulations.
• Undertake quality control inspections and rectify defects.
• Monitor and control site production costs and contractor payments.
• Initiate plot inspections with inspectors or NHBC.
• Conduct toolbox talks and on-site briefings.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and partners to meet milestones.
• Work with Sales to ensure smooth delivery of homes.
• Deliver high standard of site presentation at all times.
• Conduct New Home Tours with Sales Advisor.
• Ensure construction team is well-resourced and supported.
• Model professional behaviour in health, safety, quality.
