Job summary

Building Careers UK is seeking an experienced Site Manager in Chester to oversee joinery and fire door installation from delivery through to completion. You will work with the workshop, project team, clients and site operatives to ensure projects are delivered to specification and on programme.

The role requires strong carpentry/joinery background, fire door experience, and a solid understanding of site health and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management with carpentry/joinery background.
• Fire door installation knowledge is essential.
• Ability to read drawings and understand joinery specifications.
• Strong health & safety and quality control awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee joinery and fire door installation on site.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and trades.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specifications and programme.
• Manage deliveries and materials to keep project on schedule.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors and site personnel.
• Maintain on-site health and safety standards and housekeeping.
• Provide hands-on support to joinery team when needed.
• Carry out quality checks and address defects promptly.
