Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to deliver a £2m CAT B office fit-out in Nottingham, running from September through February. The post requires a stand-alone site lead with full ownership of the programme.

You will manage all subcontractors, drive the works to schedule, maintain safety and quality, and coordinate with clients and consultants. This long‑term contract offers a clear path to future regional projects.

Qualifications

• CAT A/CAT B commercial fit-out delivery experience.
• Experience as stand-alone Construction Manager or No.1 Site Manager.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong programme management and subcontractor coordination experience.
• Experience on projects valued between £1m and £5m+.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the site from mobilisation through to completion.
• Manage and coordinate all subcontractors and direct labour.
• Drive programme and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Maintain quality standards and oversee snagging processes.
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety requirements.
• Chair site meetings and coordinate project activities.
• Monitor progress against drawings, specifications, and programme.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams, and building management.
• Produce short‑term look‑ahead programmes and progress updates.
• Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise.
• Support tender and pre‑construction meetings where required.
• Represent the contractor professionally throughout the project lifecycle.
