Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead construction activities on a major nuclear infrastructure programme at Sellafield. You will manage site teams, coordinate safety, quality and compliance, and work with project teams to meet programme milestones.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory awareness, and effective collaboration with clients and suppliers to deliver complex civil and infrastructure work on a high-profile site.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction projects within highly regulated environments.
• Experience managing site teams, subcontractors, and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Experience delivering civil, mechanical, electrical, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience managing construction programmes, resources, and work package delivery.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of risk management, construction planning, and project delivery processes.
• Experience working with permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.
• Understanding of quality management systems, inspection and test plans (ITPs), assurance processes, and project handover activities.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within complex construction environments.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Technical or engineering experience gained through practical site delivery.
• Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of: Construction programme management and short-term planning processes.
• Temporary Works management and associated procedures.
• NEC contracts and their application within construction projects.
• Document management and project control systems.
• CDM Regulations and construction phase delivery requirements.
• Resource planning, cost control, and construction productivity management.
• HND, Degree Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and efficient delivery of construction activities across multiple work fronts.
• Manage and coordinate site-based teams, including General Foremen, Supervisors, Engineers, and supply chain partners.
• Ensure construction works are delivered in line with programme requirements, budget targets, quality standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate daily site activities, permits, work fronts, and resource allocation.
• Monitor programme performance and drive progress against key milestones.
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and statutory health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Manage quality assurance activities, inspections, testing, and project handover requirements.
• Support commercial performance through effective change management, productivity monitoring, and cost control.
• Identify and manage construction risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Lead site meetings, briefings, and performance reviews.
• Work closely with project management, planning, commercial, design, and SHEQ teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support workforce development, mentoring, and succession planning initiatives.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure behavioural standards are consistently upheld across site operations.
