Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in London is seeking a Lead Shift Engineer to join the team. You will apply a risk-focused maintenance approach to plant, systems in data centres and office environments, manage priorities, and ensure services meet SLAs.

The role requires a qualified electrician with Level 3, 18th Edition, and experience in critical environments. You will lead a small team, oversee budgets, and coordinate with facilities management and EHS teams.

Qualifications

• Electrician with Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship, HND, C&G or NVQ).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations essential.
• Experience in data centres or critical environments desirable.
• Knowledge of emergency response/standby procedures.
• Understanding of utilities monitoring and environmental programmes.

Responsibilities

• Manage own time and allocate works to team members.
• Control costs related to maintenance activities.
• Ensure services meet SLAs and client requirements.
• Maintain critical environment documentation and plans.
• Provide technical management reports and emergency response.
• Support procurement of maintenance services.
• Work within annual maintenance budgets.
