Job summary

The National Trust For Scotland is seeking a Lead SharePoint Developer to design and govern the Trust's SharePoint environment in line with Information Governance policies. You will provide support, training and documentation, troubleshoot issues, and promote best practices in data management and retention across Teams, OneDrive and related services.

With a focus on migration, governance controls and user enablement, you will work closely with the IG Programme and Infrastructure teams to deliver

Responsibilities

Lead the planning of file migration from network drives to the Trust’s SharePoint environment with a focus on records management.
Analyse reports on storage environments, data quality and access, to inform governance decisions.
Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and design SharePoint solutions for projects, departments or the organisation.
Implement and maintain data governance controls in line with internal standards and industry best practice.
Review and restructure existing SharePoint sites and Teams channels to remove or reorganise as needed.
Develop and implement retention policies and labels using Microsoft Purview in partnership with the Data Protection team.
Provide training and user guides, deliver workshops, and support staff in using SharePoint effectively.
Assist teams in content migration planning and suggest structural improvements for compliance and ease of use.
Work with IG Programme and Infrastructure teams to ensure security policies are applied to sites and teams.
