Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Lead Service Engineer based at our Elgin depot to service, maintain and repair pumps, generators and related equipment.

You will mentor engineers, deliver training, and help maximise equipment availability while upholding high service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pump engineer or generator engineer.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is essential.
• Customer-focused and a team player with the ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing pumps, generators and related equipment within the GAP fleet.
• Mentor Engineers at the depot, sharing knowledge and delivering training to develop technical skills.
• Based at the Elgin depot and ensuring high service levels for customers.

GAP Pump & Power Services provides expert advice, servicing, maintenance and repair solutions for dewatering and sewerage pump applications. Our extensive fleet includes Stage V generators, fuel tanks, hoses, settlement tanks and water treatment equipment, supporting customers across a wide range of industries.

As a Lead Service Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have access to reliable, high-quality equipment whenever they need it. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of pumps, generators and associated equipment within the GAP fleet, helping to maximise equipment availability and performance.

You will also support and mentor Engineers within the depot, sharing your knowledge and delivering training to help develop their technical skills and ensure high standards of service.

**Please note, the position will be based out of our depot in Elgin and therefore candidates should be suitably located.**

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience as a pump engineer or generator engineer
• Sound and current knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is essential
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A customer-focussed approach workload and committed team player
• A valid driving licence is
