Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a Regional Pump Engineer to service and maintain a wide range of pump equipment, including hoses and generators, at our Tilbury depot and on customer sites across the region. You will repair, service and keep precise records to ensure equipment is available when customers need it.

The role requires experience in pump engineering or diesel tech, a valid driving licence, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pump engineer, mechanical fitter or diesel technician.
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is desirable and training will be provided.
• Experience in the plant or hire industry would be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; able to work under pressure.
• Customer-focused workload and team player.
• A valid driving licence is essential.

• Attend breakdowns across customer sites.

About the role

GAP Pump Services provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for dewatering and sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

As a Regional Pump Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the region by ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it through the efficient servicing and maintaining a variety of pump services equipment within the GAP fleet.

You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our equipment in the depot but also responsible for attending breakdowns across our customer sites. You will identify and repair any faults or damage to equipment including pumps, hoses and generators, whilst accurately updating service records.

**Please note, the position will be based out of our depot in Tilbury and therefore candidates should be suitably located.

About You

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience as a pump engineer, mechanical fitter or diesel technician
• Sound and current knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses or generators is highly desirable but training will be provided.
• Experience within the plant or hire industry would be highly beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A customer-focussed approach workload and committed team player
• A valid driving licence is essential.
