Job summary

The Lodge Care Home in Langport, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Support Worker. You will lead shifts, oversee medication, and ensure care plans are followed, delivering high-quality, person-centred care for residents with complex needs.

Roles include supervising staff, maintaining records, and communicating clearly within a teamwork-focused environment. The role offers day and night shifts, with a pension, DBS paid, uniform provided, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards.
• Medication training and competency in administration.
• Experience supporting or leading within a care environment.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• A calm, reliable and compassionate approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in delivering high quality, person-centred care on shift.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure care plans are followed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and communicate effectively with the team.
