Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on a major infrastructure framework. You will oversee cost control, governance, and value generation from early works to full construction, collaborating with delivery teams to ensure robust financial performance.

The role requires extensive experience in infrastructure projects, with strong contract and change management skills, and a willingness to travel to island-based sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with construction/infrastructure sector experience.
• Proven experience managing all commercial aspects of complex construction projects.
• Knowledge of cost management, contract administration, commercial reporting, and change management.
• Experience with standard forms of construction contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with diligence and accuracy.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities; commercially astute.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Willingness to travel to island-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of construction and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
• Forecast, budget, and report financial performance across the project lifecycle.
• Administer contracts and subcontract agreements in accordance with project requirements.
• Prepare, negotiate, and agree valuations, variations, change events, and final accounts.
• Monitor project performance and provide commercial guidance to support delivery.
• Identify, assess and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures and best practice.
• Produce accurate and timely commercial reports and forecasts for leadership teams.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution through contract management.
• Mentor junior members of the commercial team.
