Amey Ltd in Liverpool is seeking a Lead Senior Civil Engineer to join our Consulting Highways Team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on leading design teams for road schemes with National Highways, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality, cost and schedule targets are met.

You will work within a flexible, hybrid environment across UK offices and have opportunities for personal and professional development, contributing to high-value infrastructure programmes and bids.

Qualifikationen

• Senior Engineer or equivalent with relevant expertise
• Capable of producing technically sound engineering solutions
• Experience in health, safety and welfare management
• Knowledge of design and specification processes and ability to advise others
• Proficiency with software and analytical tools and ability to check others’ work
• Understanding of CDM and risk assessment and mitigation
• Ability to act as Principal Designer on suitable projects
• People management skills for a medium-sized team

Aufgaben

• Lead a team to deliver technically sound engineering solutions complying with standards and client requirements
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation for scheme deliverables
• Oversee junior staff and mentor them
• Take responsibility for project budgets and costs within the portfolio
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives and attend progress meetings
• Contribute to bids and work-winning activities
• Promote effective health and safety practices within the team
