Job summary

St Philip's Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead and support the Highlands Care Centre team, covering day and night bank shifts. You will assist the Manager, help ensure residents receive dignified, person-centred care, and promote independence wherever possible.

You will participate in care planning, monitor residents, assist with daily activities, and ensure adherence to policies, training, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• A passion for care of the elderly.
• Experience of Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and co-ordinate a team of care workers to provide high standards of care.
• Assist the Manager in the overall management of the home and cover in their absence.
• Support residents with daily care needs and promote independence.
• Contribute to care planning, monitoring, and reporting on residents’ conditions.
• Ensure confidentiality, safety, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Attend in-service training and mandatory training.
