Job summary

SGI is seeking an SDET to lead testing within a cross-functional engineering team. You will define standards, build automated test suites, and contribute to the codebase. You will support CI/CD pipelines and releases while participating in code reviews to ensure quality across the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers and product managers on large-scale transformation programmes, with a hybrid Banbury-based setup.

Qualifications

Experience as an SDET, SWE in Test, or QA Automation Engineer.
Strong software engineering mindset with a passion for quality and test automation.
Experience in Agile product development teams.
Experience modernising large-scale applications or transformations.
Comfortable with complex legacy systems.
Understanding of SDLC, testing strategies and QA best practices.
Collaborates with developers, product managers and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead testing activities within a cross-functional engineering team.
Define testing standards, approaches and best practices.
Design, build and maintain automated test suites.
Contribute directly to the application codebase alongside software engineers.
Support CI/CD pipelines, release processes and deployment activities.
Participate in code reviews and QA activities.
Ensure high levels of software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Support the successful delivery of large-scale product transformation initiatives.
