Job summary
Lonza is seeking a Lead Scientist to drive analytical development in potency ELISA and cell-based analytics at our Slough site in the UK. You will lead from the bench, set strategy for method development, and deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires strong expertise in potency ELISA, cell-based assays, and/or SPR/Biacore, with a track record of leading complex projects and mentoring junior scientists.
Qualifications
- Degree or Master's in Life Sciences or related field.
- Strong laboratory experience in analytical or bioanalytical development.
- Proven expertise in potency ELISA and cell-based assays; experience with Biacore/SPR is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver multiple analytical projects with high-quality outcomes.
- Lead implementation of new technology and customer-specific methods.
- Act as technical expert in potency ELISA and cell-based methods and/or SPR/Biacore.
- Design and execute complex experimental strategies translating customer needs.
- Analyze and interpret data to generate robust insights and process understanding.
- Present data, troubleshoot issues, and shape project direction.
- Mentor junior scientists and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead investigations and manage risk with timely resolutions.
