Job summary

Lonza Group in Slough is seeking a Scientist for the Analytical Development team. The role focuses on delivering bioanalytical development stages, performing analytical techniques and interpreting data to optimise methods.

This is a fully site-based position requiring close collaboration in the lab to ensure high quality medicines. The successful candidate will manage method development, support equipment maintenance, document management and safety compliance, while drafting reports and training

Qualifications

• Degree or Master's qualification in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
• Laboratory experience in analytical or bioanalytical techniques required.
• Understanding of bioanalytical methods.
• Strong planning and organisation to deliver work on time.
• Effective communication and collaboration with peers and teams outside the department to provide customers with the highest service.
• Logical and organised approach to problem solving.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments and critically analyse and interpret data to contribute to the development of bioanalytical methods such as SPR, flow cytometry, ELISA, cell-based methods.
• Draft internal and customer ready reports.
• Support lab operations including equipment ownership, maintenance, documentation, buffer preparation and safety actions.
• Support implementation of new assay technologies/continuous improvement projects.
• Contribute to technical investigations/RCAs.
• Maintain high-quality documentation in line with quality management systems.
• Train junior members of the department as required.
