Job summary

Labcorp in Harrogate is seeking a Lead Scientist to join our Bioanalysis (LC-MS/MS) team. You will lead scientific activities for method development, validation and sample analysis, and serve in study leadership roles for regulated studies.

You will provide scientific oversight to ensure GLP/GCP compliance, act as the primary scientific contact for clients, and mentor scientific staff while delivering high-quality data to time and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Significant experience in bioanalytical method development, validation, and regulated study conduct in a CRO.
• Experience as Study Director, Principal Investigator, or Responsible Scientist for regulated studies.
• Strong knowledge of GLP, GCP, EMA/FDA bioanalytical guidelines.
• Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven leadership and multi-project management experience.
• Ability to manage high-volume workload with rigorous scientific quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead method development, validation, and sample analysis projects.
• Serve in study leadership roles for regulated and non-regulated studies.
• Develop, review, and approve protocols, validation plans, and reports.
• Provide scientific oversight to ensure GLP/GCP compliance.
• Act as primary scientific contact for clients and define project requirements.
• Identify and resolve scientific challenges and scope changes.
• Provide technical expertise and support assay troubleshooting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop scientific staff.
• Manage multiple complex projects ensuring quality and timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement for scientific excellence and client satisfaction.
