Job summary

Simbec-Orion Group seeks a Principal Scientist to lead LC-MS/MS bioanalysis across oncology and rare diseases. You will own method development and validation on triple quadrupole platforms, troubleshoot complex extraction and chromatographic issues, and act as the technical authority from client onboarding to final report.

This hands-on role sets strategy for LC-MS/MS, mentors the wider team, and represents Laboratory Services with clients, auditors and inspectors.

Qualifications

Essential LC-MS/MS expertise in a regulated lab (GCP/GLP/GMP).
Proven track record in method development and validation for small molecule bioanalysis.
Strong extraction and chromatographic troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with current bioanalytical method validation guidance and GxP standards.
Ability to review/approve technical documents to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Lead LC-MS/MS method development and validation from extraction strategy to validated assay.
Troubleshoot instrument/method issues; act as technical escalation point.
Take scientific accountability for studies: data integrity, regulatory compliance, reporting.
Review and approve protocols, validation reports, SOPs and study documentation.
Mentor scientists in LC-MS/MS techniques.
Represent Laboratory Services with clients, auditors and sponsors; support BD with technical input.
