Job summary

Low Carbon Contracts Company is seeking a Lead Scheme Operations Manager to head Scheme Operations’ data governance, assurance and reporting. You will drive data-led process improvements and work with Data Engineering, Analytics and Technology to support new schemes.

You will lead a small team, manage priorities, and foster collaboration with internal teams and regulators to ensure accurate, compliant data delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and embedding operational processes, data-quality controls and reporting.
• Experience of data management, governance and/or assurance in a complex operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate data and processes.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI and advanced Excel to analyse data and improve processes.
• Experience leading people or workstreams and managing priorities.
• Ability to translate regulatory or contractual requirements into process and data needs.
• Knowledge of UK energy policy, regulatory and/or settlement environments (desirable).
• Familiarity with CfD, Capacity Market or other low-carbon schemes.
• Experience with metering, settlement or high-volume operational data.
• Experience collaborating with data-engineering, analytics, technology or product teams.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, pipelines, version control or collaborative development tools.
• Experience of document control, knowledge management or controlled documentation.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or continuous-improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own data governance, quality and assurance across operational processes.
• Manage data models, registers and inputs with validation and reconciliation.
• Document models, processes and reporting within a knowledge management framework.
• Develop and maintain Scheme Operations KPIs, dashboards and reports.
• Provide analytical insight to support operational decisions, risk management and reporting.
• Translate regulatory and contractual requirements into data and process needs.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics and Technology to deliver automation.
• Provide data assurance for system changes, including UAT and deployment.
• Ensure readiness for new schemes and major changes; support regulatory change.
