Job summary

SP Transmission plc in Scotland is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - SCADA to maintain and develop OT for around 180 SCADA systems across the network. Based in Currie or Motherwell, the role supports Scotland’s Net Zero goals with an annual budget of £1 million.

You will work in Network Operations, configure SCADA systems, handle fault response and collaborate with NESO, vendors and contractors to ensure reliable operation and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working with SCADA systems on power transmission networks.
• Knowledge of industry-standard SCADA protocols and protocol-emulation tools.
• Strong communication with technical teams, Operations Control Centre, NESO and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop and operate SCADA assets across the transmission network.
• Create SCADA configurations from implementation through testing and commissioning.
• Provide fault response for SCADA faults and defects and optimise performance.
• Deliver change processes and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute technical input to Major Projects ensuring installations meet requirements.
• Manage time and resources to deliver tactical operational plans within budget/timeline.
