Morgan Ryder Associates is seeking an Automation & Robotics Engineer to lead automation initiatives across a modern UK facility, delivering projects from concept through production. You will scope, program and deploy robotics and PLC systems, drive Industry 4.0 improvements, and work closely with maintenance and production teams.

Qualifications
- Experience with industrial robotics and automated manufacturing systems.
- Robot programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- PLC programming or modification experience.
- Knowledge of automation safety standards and machine compliance.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive approach with willingness to spend time on the shop floor driving improvements.
- Able to pass security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Leading the deployment and optimisation of robotic welding and assembly systems.
- Taking ownership of existing collaborative robot applications and developing programmes for new products and processes.
- Supporting the introduction and commissioning of new automated manufacturing cells.
- Programming, modifying and improving robotic and PLC-controlled systems.
- Supporting FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning activities.
- Developing automation standards, technical specifications and best practices for future projects.
- Supporting machine vision technologies and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Working with maintenance and production to improve reliability and uptime.
- Producing technical documentation, SOPs and backup procedures.
- Delivering training and knowledge transfer to operators, technicians and engineers.
