AA Euro Group is seeking a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our client in Hitchin on a permanent basis. You will lead clinical shifts, assess, plan, implement and evaluate personalised care, and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
• Experience in care home/nursing home or similar setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to person-centred care.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to complete mandatory and specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical shifts or support the on-duty nurse as second nurse.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans.
• Promote residents' independence, dignity, choice, wellbeing.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to care staff.
• Ensure care aligns with NMC standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records.
• Identify and respond to changes in residents' conditions.
• Mentor Care Assistants through training and coaching.
• Act as Named Nurse for a designated group of residents.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement.
• Ensure safe staffing levels and assist shift planning.
• Communicate with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
• Promote a positive, open, and supportive team culture.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report concerns.
• Deliver thorough handovers between shifts.
