Qualifications

  • A good understanding of build programmes, sequencing and site logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain programme.
  • A proactive approach to resolving issues and keeping the development moving.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day construction activities across the development.

  • Managing site logistics, deliveries, materials and resources.
  • Working closely with the Contracts Manager to maintain programme.
  • Liaising with NHBC and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring plots are progressed efficiently and prepared for inspection.
  • Managing snagging, completion and handover of properties.
  • Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.
  • Driving high standards of workmanship across the development.

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join an established residential developer on a 140-unit traditional build development in Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential Site Manager to take ownership of a sizeable development and play a key role in delivering the project safely, on programme and to a high standard. The client is also open to experienced Assistant Site Managers who have a strong background in residential housebuilding and are ready to take the next step into their first Site Manager position.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the development, overseeing site operations from construction through to completion and handover.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and wider project team, managing subcontractors, trades and site activities while ensuring the development remains on programme and meets the required quality standards.
