Dakota Hotels in Manchester City Centre is seeking an experienced reservations professional to join as Assistant Head of Reservations. You will lead a multi-site team, maximise revenue opportunities and ensure exceptional guest service.

Reporting to the Head of Reservations, you will oversee direct enquiries, third-party bookings and staff development. The role requires at least 2 years in a reservations leadership role, strong communication skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hotel reservations supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex guest issues.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding high brand standards.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to lead a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all reservation activity from direct enquiries to third-party platforms to ensure accuracy and guest preferences.
• Lead and coach the Reservations team to exceed targets and service standards.
• Maintain knowledge of packages and promotions to drive upsell opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with on-property teams to ensure seamless service and guest recognition.
• Oversee system training (Shiji PMS) and optimize operational processes.
• Manage third-party supplier relationships including commission reconciliations and payments.
• Resolve complex booking issues with professionalism and speed to protect brand reputation.
