Job summary

Dakota Hotels is seeking a Bar Manager for our Manchester airport area. Lead a team of bartenders, hosts and floor staff to deliver exceptional service while maintaining operations across day parts. You'll train staff, manage stock and rosters, and ensure accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in a full-service, high-end restaurant and/or bar.
• At least 1 year of experience training others in a Bar or Restaurant environment.
• Overseeing bar operations, team and customer service.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to drive revenue.
• Experience running services and cash up.
• Strong knowledge of wines and wine pairings with dishes.
• Enthusiastic and culture-focused individual.
• Flexible with shift patterns and availability.
• Demonstrated brand research and genuine interest in joining the team.

Responsibilities

• Drive the highest levels of service within our bar and lead bartenders, bar floor team and hosts.
• Run bar services throughout the day with hands-on hosting and high standards.
• Implement training plans and on-the-job training.
• Deliver knowledge on cocktails and drinks to improve guest experience.
• Support commercial operations including rota approvals and placing orders.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu options and allergens for guests.
• Provide ongoing hosting and service leadership to sustain quality.
