Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Delivery Lead to manage portfolio engineering activities across the MBDA Complex Weapons Portfolio. You will handle technical risks, obsolescence and engineering commonality while guiding teams and stakeholders through the full product lifecycle.

The role offers hybrid working with 2–3 days on-site and opportunities to influence delivery processes, improve efficiency, and drive innovative solutions within a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an engineering discipline with understanding of the product lifecycle.
• Ability to influence and challenge senior MOD and MBDA management.
• Flexible mindset to develop innovative design solutions.
• Ability to understand complex technical problems with uncertainty.
• Ability to prioritise across multiple projects.
• Ability to concisely summarise problems and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio engineering activities for MBDA Complex Weapons Portfolio, including technical risks and obsolescence.
• Steer delivery and implement new ways of working.
• Collaborate with projects to improve Commonality, Modularity & Reuse.
• Review benefits to ensure realism from an engineering perspective.
• Act as the contact between Functions, Equipment Teams, Centres of Excellence and Portfolio risks.
• Ensure obsolescence solutions do not affect dependencies.
