Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Renewable Energy Design Engineer to join our renewable energy advisory team across the UK, supporting IE/OE/TA services for solar PV, wind and energy storage projects.

You will lead FEED, IE, OE, and TA assignments from concept through construction, with a strong emphasis on leadership, client engagement and business development. A proactive, organised professional with multi-project capability is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in renewable energy IE/OE/TA or related fields.
• Experience supporting projects through financial close with lenders or investors.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, contracts, and risk management.
• Degree or equivalent in electrical/civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently.
• Proactive, organised, solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver FEED, IE, OE, and TA assignments across full project lifecycle.
• Manage project delivery for project finance, tax equity, sales, and acquisition mandates.
• Review contracts, schedules, and financial models; conduct site visits and witness testing.
• Produce technical advisory reports with risks and recommendations.
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings with developers, lenders, EPCs, investors, and internal teams.
• Lead Pre-FEED and FEED design teams for wind, solar and BESS projects.
• Lead Owners Engineering service delivery and provide BD support.
