ICE Recruit is seeking a chartered building surveyor for a client in the UK insurance sector. The role begins with hands-on high-value reinstatement projects and advances to leadership as the division expands.

You will assess damage after events such as fires or floods, prepare scopes of work and reinstatement specifications, and oversee tendering and contractor appointments. The position also involves contract administration and stakeholder liaison.

Qualifikationen

• At least six years building surveying experience in areas such as building pathology, construction technology, refurbishment or post loss reinstatement works.
• 2:1 or above in Building Surveying, Construction, or similar; Chartered through RICS or CIOB.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Aufgaben

• Lead high-value reinstatement projects, visiting sites after fire, flood, or other events to assess damage and required reinstatement.
• Prepare scope of work and reinstatement specifications; manage tender process and contractor appointment.
• Act as contract administrator, ensuring compliance with building regulations and insurance requirements; maintain contact with landlords, insurers and loss adjusters.
• As workload grows, recruit and develop additional surveyors and gradually assume team management and operational oversight.
