Job summary

Mavern House Nursing Home in Melksham is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to lead and support our care team. You’ll receive training for nursing in a care-home setting and ongoing development to progress your career.

You will work 24 hours per week with rotating days and nights, and benefit from paid breaks, onsite parking and strong opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Valid RGN NMC Registration.
• Previous experience in a similar care setting is desirable but not essential.
• A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
• A clear understanding of CQC standards/ legislation.
• Strong leadership and clinical skills; well organized and proactive.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with PCS and electronic care planning.
• Inspires, motivates and leads by example.
• Flexible rota to meet home needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality nursing care to residents.
• Lead and support the care team and coordinate clinical assessments.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate care with input from residents and carers.
• Liaise with GPs, case managers and health practitioners.
• Communicate clinical decisions clearly to the team and families.
• Maintain clinical records and IT system data accurately.
• Stay informed on dementia care and apply current evidence.
