Job summary

Avery Healthcare is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our award-winning team. In this role you’ll act as person in charge when required and ensure high standards of care for residents across our UK care homes.

You will hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration, with at least two years’ post-qualification experience. You’ll bring strong interpersonal skills, a practical knowledge of care planning, and the ability to guide and support colleagues.

Qualifications

• As a Registered Nurse, hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in care settings, with post-basic studies/qualification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Solid knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge and stand in for the Manager when required, delivering high standards of resident care.
• Distribute medication, manage dressings, catheterisation and other aspects of nursing care.
• Inform families and GPs of changes in condition and involve them in ongoing care decisions.
• Supervise and support care team staff during your duty period.
