Job summary

Avery Park Care Home in Kettering is seeking a Registered Nurse to act as person in charge when required, delivering high-quality care to residents.

You will hold a first-level nursing qualification with NMC registration, with at least 2 years of hands-on care experience and strong care planning knowledge. A supportive team environment and ongoing development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Hold a first-level nursing qualification and be currently registered with the NMC.
• Minimum 2 years' care experience with post-basic studies/qualification.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of resident care and act as person in charge when required.
• Distribute medications, wound care, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic conditions.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in condition and involve them in care decisions.
• Supervise and deploy care staff during shifts to ensure tasks are completed.
