Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting a Registered Service Manager to lead the new Supported Accommodation and Supported Lodgings services in Solihull. You will oversee Training Flats, ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance, and support young people aged 16–25 to gain life skills and semi-independence.

You will line-manage Floating Support Workers, shape the Service's purpose and workforce plan, and work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in a safe,

Qualifications

• OFSTED registration as Residential Care Manager or equivalent experience in residential/supported accommodation.
• At least two years’ experience in the last five years managing and/or working in residential support (statutory requirement).
• Experience leading a team within a regulated setting.
• Knowledge of The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, safeguarding and children protection procedures.
• Driving licence and car ownership; able to drive.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup and running of Training Flats in Solihull.
• Support 16–25 year olds with risk assessments and care plans to promote semi-independence.
• Register and supervise the Supported Lodgings service with Ofsted compliance.
• Collaborate with housing to support care leavers and Staying Put arrangements.
• Line manage Floating Support Workers to create a safe, homely environment.
• Deliver the Service’s Statement of Purpose and Workforce Plan; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure high-quality care and staff sufficiency in line with policies and regulations.
