Job summary

Young Crisis Hub in Roydon near Harlow seeks an experienced manager to oversee two solo placement homes and become the Ofsted Registered Manager for both. You will lead the homes, build teams, policies and a Statement of Purpose with our Responsible Individual, supporting placements under DoL orders.

This is a hands-on leadership role offering ownership, with CAMHS-informed supervision and clear progression within a growing group.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of children's residential services with strong safeguarding knowledge.
• Experience leading DoL orders, Ofsted registration processes and policy development.
• Background in CAMHS or child mental health supports effective care planning.
• Willingness to care for a named child during registration period.

Responsibilities

• Lead two solo placement homes, ensuring safe, therapeutic care under DoL and court orders.
• Drive Ofsted registration, finish statements of purpose and related compliance tasks.
• Recruit, supervise and develop staff, building stable, capable teams across homes.
• Maintain records, liaise with social workers, IRO, local authorities and police.
• Manage budgets, maintenance and health and safety across both homes.
