Job summary

Care First UK Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead our first specialist solo children’s home, supporting young people with complex needs.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, safeguarding, and Ofsted readiness, building a skilled team and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment for vulnerable children. This pivotal role offers growth opportunities within a growing organisation with plans to expand.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or deputising in a children's residential setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and Ofsted rules.
• Experience supporting children with complex or high-risk needs.
• Ability to lead, inspire and develop a staff team.
• Proven track record with regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Confidence guiding a home through Ofsted registration and inspections.
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
• Passion for achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the children's home and ensure outstanding care and safeguarding.
• Drive Ofsted readiness and regulatory compliance across the service.
• Develop and supervise a skilled staff team to support complex needs.
• Lead through the home’s establishment and through its growth trajectory.
