Job summary

RIG Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to open and lead a brand-new three-bed children’s learning disabilities home in Heaton, Newcastle. You’ll shape the service from the start, recruit your own team and build a stable, nurturing environment for children with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The role involves leading Ofsted registration, building a strong staff team, and delivering high standards of care with safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in children's residential learning disability services.
• Registered Manager with a Good Ofsted outcome or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up.
• Deputies should have at least two years’ management experience.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare completed or progressing.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
• Ambition to establish and develop a new service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the home through the Ofsted registration process.
• Recruit, develop and retain a strong staff team.
• Create a safe, child-centred and nurturing culture.
• Ensure consistently high standards of care and safeguarding.
• Build relationships with families, professionals and placing authorities.
• Work with Directors and wider management team.
• Deliver strong outcomes for children with learning disabilities and complex needs.
