Job summary

Malvern Hills Council is seeking an experienced Refuse & Recycling Team Leader (HGV Refuse Driver) to supervise a collection team and manage vehicle resources to deliver safe, efficient refuse and recycling services.

You will lead staff, make day-to-day operational decisions, ensure compliance with health and safety policies, and liaise with the public to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a collection team and allocating resources to meet service standards.
• Full, valid Category C driving licence and knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to produce clear records.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a collection team to achieve high performance.
• Make day-to-day operational decisions to meet service delivery requirements.
• Ensure staff follow Council policies, health and safety procedures, and safe systems of work.
