Job summary

VolkerWessels UK Ltd. is seeking an experienced Section Engineer for the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE) to lead on-site engineering activities in Kent. Based from Gravesend, you will own delivery, supervise earthworks and contribute to long-term rail infrastructure renewal across the Southern Route.

You will work within the Earthworks team, develop leadership capabilities, manage programme planning and maintain safety, quality and environmental standards on site.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering civil engineering infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of construction techniques, engineering controls and project delivery processes.
• Experience supervising engineering activities and coordinating site operations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to interpret design information and resolve technical issues on site.
• Full UK driving licence.
