Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for the Earthworks team within the Southern Renewals Enterprise. The permanent position is based in Blackfriars, London, and supports the commercial management of rail infrastructure renewal projects across the Southern region.

Candidates should understand NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred) and have experience managing subcontracts, controlling costs and preparing commercial reports.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or equivalent in quantity surveying or commercial management.
• Progress toward professional chartership or chartership is desirable.
• Experience with NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) is preferred.
• Experience managing subcontracts, controlling costs and preparing commercial reports.
• Rail, earthworks or geotechnical experience is desirable; knowledge of Network Rail procedures helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial management of rail infrastructure renewal projects.
• Manage subcontracts and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present commercial reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Southern region.
