Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment Ltd in the UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of a major water infrastructure project in Northamptonshire. You will drive project performance, manage valuations, payments, subcontractor accounts and change control, working closely with client and engineering teams.

You should bring a solid background in infrastructure or civils, NEC contract experience and a track record of stakeholder negotiation, with the ability to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial activities across a major infrastructure project.
• Manage valuations, applications for payment and client reporting.
• Oversee subcontract procurement, administration and final accounts.
• Drive cost control, forecasting and monthly commercial reporting.
• Manage compensation events, change control and contractual matters.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities to improve project performance.
• Work closely with project teams to deliver successful commercial outcomes.
• Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required.
