Job summary

JN TECHNICAL LTD is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of major structural steel projects in the UK. The role involves leading budgets, procurement support, contract administration and final accounts, with remote/hybrid options available.

You will manage change, negotiate with clients, maximise cashflow and provide essential contractual support to project teams across a growing steelwork business. A degree in QS or Commercial Management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' QS experience.
• Structural Steelwork experience is essential.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership of projects after contract award.
• Produce commercial budgets and strategies.
• Support procurement of materials and subcontract packages.
• Prepare, submit and agree monthly applications for payment.
• Lead change control and price all variations.
• Negotiate variation values with clients.
• Manage and maximise project cashflow.
• Monitor and control internal and external project costs.
• Provide commercial and contractual support to project teams.
• Ensure all contractual notices and procedures are issued correctly.
• Prepare final accounts and monthly commercial reports.
• Mentor junior commercial staff.
