Job summary

One Way Resourcing is supporting a main contractor in South East London to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor. You will take commercial responsibility for refurbishment and planned maintenance schemes, working from pre-construction through final accounts.

The role requires 3+ years' QS experience, a good grasp of JCT contracts, and a proactive approach to cost management. NHF knowledge is desirable, with a strong track record of successful cost control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience on refurbishment and/or planned maintenance projects.
• Good understanding of JCT forms of contract.
• NHF Schedule of Rates knowledge desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for refurbishment/planned maintenance projects from pre-construction through final account.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
• Tender analysis and subcontract negotiations.
• Valuations and payment applications.
• Cost reporting and CVRs.
• Manage variations and change control.
