Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to manage planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment projects and FRA works across Hertfordshire. The role focuses on cost control, commercial management and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The candidate should have 5+ years of QS experience, with strong skills in cost planning, cash flow management and reporting while coordinating with clients and suppliers on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor (or senior Assistant QS)
• Strong cost control and commercial awareness
• Ability to manage cash flow and reconcile reports

Responsibilities

• Cost planning
• Closing out and setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attending & chairing progress meetings with clients
• Regular on-site visits
• Overlook P&L with operational leads
• Cash flow management
