Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor on a long-term MOD/government framework. Projects range from £0.5m to £8m, with a focus on build and refurbishment work.

You will lead commercial activities, manage subcontracts, cash flow forecasts, and CVRs, coordinating closely with the site team to capture costs and manage variations. Based in Maidstone, this role offers clear progression within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lead Quantity Surveyor on build/refurbishment projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word or equivalent software.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender returns and collate information for team discussion.
• Prepare sub-contract orders and ensure signed documentation.
• Review and sign off sub-contract applications and issue payment notices.
• Undertake detailed internal and external cash flow forecasts.
• Produce monthly AFAs and monthly valuations for clients.
• Work closely with site team to record costs and support commercial efforts.
• Issue variation orders with supporting documentation as required.
• Attend site visits to support commercial and operational teams.
• Prepare and issue detailed CVRs to directors.

Job DescriptionWe have a unique opportunity for an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor on a long term 10 year framework of MOD and government building refurbishment and new build. Typical projects will range from £0.5 million to £8million in value. The company are a blue chip world renowned contractor whom have a wide and varied client base and a multitude of long term frameworks. The business has a , dynamic and energetic management team with a strong business plan in place; they are further developing their client base and this is great opportunity to join a growing business. They are company that promote from within so would suite a individual who is ambitious. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record working on all aspects of build and refurbishments projects.

Duties include:

• Analyse tender returns and collate information for discussion with team
• Support the team to increase and improve upon existing supply chain
• Compile and issue sub contract orders and ensure these are signed and returned along with any supporting documentation
• Review and sign off on any sub contract applications and prepare and send out payment notices
• Undertake detailed internal and external cash flow forecasts
• Produce monthly AFA's for clients
• Produce monthly valuations and agree with clients
• Work closely with the site team to ensure that all cost are recorded, provide support if needed
• Issue variation orders if required, ensuring relevant documentation is available to substantiate
• Attend site visits to provide assistance and support to both the commercial and operational side of the business
• Compile, complete and issue detailed and accurate CVR's to directors
