Job summary

Kier is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Stepps-based commercial team with hybrid working. You will lead cost planning, oversee subcontractor contracts, and monitor budgets across high-value projects, while mentoring junior team members and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires experience with NEC3/4 and JCT/SBCC contracts, a Quantity Surveying degree, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading commercial activities for high-value projects.
• Knowledge of NEC3/4 and JCT/SBCC contracts.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying and driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial input into bid submissions and manage cost planning throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and manage subcontractor contracts, tender packages, and procurement to ensure best value.
• Manage valuations, applications, and payments while monitoring costs against budget.
• Identify and manage commercial risks, variations and compensation events.
• Mentor junior commercial staff and collaborate with project teams and clients.
