Job summary

Manpower Engineering is assisting a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation in recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Cadder-based team. The role focuses on robust commercial management across major contracts from award to final accounts.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will manage projects valued between £5m and £30m, drive profitability, risk management and client relationships, and lead procurement and commercial meetings within a 40-hour working week.

Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage contracts and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Analytical and proactive with a focus on profitability and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Take full commercial responsibility for contracts from award through to completion.
  • Deliver profitability and cash collection targets.
  • Manage change control, variations and claims.
  • Ensure cost control and cash flow management.
  • Lead procurement activities and manage supply chain agreements.
  • Administer contractual notices including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
  • Oversee final accounts and contract close-out.
  • Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Chair commercial meetings and risk workshops.
