Job summary

Manpower Engineering is supporting a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation in the search for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Cadder, near Glasgow.

The role oversees commercial administration and contractual management for projects £5m-£30m, with responsibility for profitability, risk, client relationships, and commercial performance across a portfolio of contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex construction, engineering, or infrastructure contracts.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and various forms of contract.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for contracts from award to completion.
• Deliver profitability and cash collection targets.
• Manage change control, variations, and claims.
• Ensure robust cost control and cash flow management.
• Lead subcontract procurement and supply chain agreements.
• Administer contractual notifications and early warnings.
• Oversee final accounts and contract close-out.
