Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to own commercial performance across an allocated portfolio. You will lead the commercial team, protect contractual entitlement, and ensure forecasting, cash control and margin performance, working with clients and operations to drive delivery and growth.

Successful candidates will have a Quantity Surveying qualification and substantial Managing Quantity Surveyor experience, with strong NEC contract knowledge and proven leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Experience at Managing Quantity Surveyor level.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (ECC/PSC Options).
• Proven ability to lead, organise and develop a commercial team and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the commercial team, setting clear responsibilities and standards.
• Review CVRs, forecasts, applications, cash reporting and margin performance.
• Lead recovery strategies for withheld and under-certified value, agreeing clear contractual routes.
• Overseeing NEC3 contracts, compensation events, change registers and ensuring portfolio compliance.
• Maintain senior relationships with clients, presenting clear commercial positions and resolving issues.
