Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction consultancy in the North East of England. You will take ownership of cost management on major energy, renewables and infrastructure projects, delivering pre- and post-contract services and building strong client relationships.

You will work within a collaborative commercial team, mentor junior members and contribute to the growth of the business through accurate budgeting, procurement

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor in a construction consultancy.
• Experience on energy, renewables, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying.
• MRICS is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide full pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services on major energy and infrastructure projects.
• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Prepare cost estimates, tender documents and procurement strategies.
• Administer NEC contracts.
• Oversee valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and implement cost management strategies.
• Develop relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior members of the commercial team.
